Position: PLC Programmer

Qualification: BE in Electrical/Electronics with strong communication skills

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key member of the project delivery team.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Lead or work independently, ensuring error-free outputs in line with client requirements.
  • Understand project requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
  • Onsite integration of developed software based on client specifications.
  • Create project documentation, including guides and manuals.
  • Provide regular status updates to the team lead and demonstrate flexibility on project assignments.
  • Engage in customer site assignments for 24 to 36 months.
  • Leverage expertise in Advanced Process Control (APC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in designing and integrating Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) and working with clients like Honda, Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Skoda.
  • Expertise in Siemens PLC platforms (S7-1200, S7-1500, S7-200, S7-300, S7-400, S7-400H, S7-400FH) and software tools like Simatic Manager Step 7, TIA Portal, WinCC, and more.
  • Hands-on experience with Rockwell PLC platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, GuardLogix) and Kinetix servo drives.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, FBD, Structured Text).
  • Familiarity with VFD interface and programming.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as Ethernet IP, Profinet, Profibus, and Modbus.
  • Integration of PLC systems with SCADA, MES, and DCS for seamless data exchange.
  • Advantageous experience with Wonderware, Ignition SCADA, Cognex, Balluff, and Keyence Vision systems, as well as safety PLC development.
  • Experience with Fanuc and Kuka robot interfacing, installation, commissioning, and programming is a plus.
  • Support for FAT and SAT, and onsite commissioning of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and robots.

Industry-specific Experience:

  • Should know about Automotive domain and good understanding about Automotive working.
  • Should have good understanding of CAR Assembly, manufacturing processes and equipment's.
  • Straight and spiral conveyor systems, sorting and pitch maintaining.
  • Unwinding, Rewinding, Hopper, web guide. Slitting, cutting, bonding, fluff forming.
  • Handling super absorbent material and controller calibration
  • Servo drive cascading, synchronization, drive tune with tension and speed control
  • lycra material unwind process control
  • Adhesive glue material equipment (Nordson Melter) integration with process logic and interface
  • Primary and secondary Packaging equipment integration experience will be added advantage
  • Known to Electrical schematic design and detailing,
  • Experience on international standard
  • Working experience of AutoCAD
  • Responsible for international projects
