Objectives and Responsibilities of this role:
1. Achieve Sales Targets:
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by the company.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
- A result-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
2. Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts and familiarity with electrical software solutions.
- Ability to quickly grasp and communicate technical details about the software products being sold.
- Develop a deep understanding of the electrical software products being sold.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and new technologies to effectively position the software in the market.
3. Customer Acquisition:
- Identify and target potential customers in the electrical industry who can benefit from the software.
- Generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, and digital marketing.
4. Technology Proficiency::
- Familiarity with sales and customer relationship management tools (e.g., CRM software), as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
5. Relationship Building:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support.
6. Sales Presentations and Demonstrations:
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of the electrical software.
- Tailor presentations to address the specific needs and challenges of potential clients.
7. Pipeline Management:
- Effectively manage the sales pipeline, including prospecting, lead qualification, and closing deals.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
8. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align sales efforts with overall company goals.
- Provide feedback from the field to contribute to product improvement and development.
9. Market Research:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Use market insights to refine sales strategies and stay ahead of industry changes.
10. Training and Professional Development:
- Stay informed about industry trends, software updates, and sales techniques.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance sales skills.
11. Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, key metrics, and market trends.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies.
12. Customer Feedback:
- Gather and relay customer feedback to the product development team for continuous improvement of the software.
13. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
14. Negotiation Skills:
- Proficient negotiation skills to close deals and secure mutually beneficial agreements with clients.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or Sales and Marketing is often preferred.
- Significant experience in sales, especially in the software or technology industry. Prior experience in electrical software sales is a plus Ex like EPLAN, ETAP, E3 Series, Autodesk Electrical, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex technical information and sales strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
