Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Executive to drive new business development and revenue growth for our Manufacturing Practice. This role focuses on generating new logos, managing strategic accounts, and delivering tailored engineering and automation solutions across the Midwest region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within the manufacturing sector for the company’s engineering services.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with corporate growth objectives, with a focus on new customer acquisition.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with engineering leads, program managers, and procurement decision-makers in industrial manufacturing organizations.
- Solution Selling: Present and demonstrate the value of complex engineering services tailored to client needs, with an emphasis on innovation, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in manufacturing industries.
- Market Research & Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats in the manufacturing market.
- Proposal & Contract Negotiation: Preparation and submission of proposals, in close alignment with proposals team, and negotiate contracts to secure new business.
- Revenue Generation: Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs, contributing directly to the company’s revenue growth in the industrial manufacturing sector.
- Collaboration with Engineering & Product Teams: Work closely with internal engineering and technical teams to ensure a deep understanding of the services and capabilities being offered, tailoring proposals to meet client-specific needs.
- Client Retention: Establish long-term relationships with clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction to facilitate repeat business and referrals.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and forecasts to sales head, ensuring visibility on opportunities, progress, and challenges.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-10 years of experience in sales or business development within the industrial manufacturing, with a strong focus on selling engineering services, solutions, or technology.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the manufacturing market, key players, and the latest industry trends. Familiarity with engineering service offerings such as systems design, analysis, testing, software development or digital transformation is highly desirable.
- Sales Expertise: Proven success in new business acquisition, solution selling, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles in the industrial manufacturing industries.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Negotiation & Closing Skills: Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to close high-value contracts and manage complex customer relationships.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet clients, attend industry events, and participate in business development activities.
